Frequently asked questions.

  • While they vary, from each season and between Local elopements to Destination Weddings or Traditional too, you can find most of what you're looking for on my Prices & Packages Page!

  • My bags are packed - where we going!? On a serious note, I will go wherever your love and your story wants to take us! A boat on the amazon river? Somewhere in the Alps? I’ll send confirmation of my travel plan. Your lovely back yard or home of a friend or family member? Give me the addy, I’ll be there soon.

  • ABSOLUTELY YES! I believe in love, and hold space for whatever that may look like for you and your boo. Being South African, I was one amongst many celebrating when same-sex marriage was legalized back home in 2006. While the rest of the Africa has many steps to take in supporting the LGBTQ & Alternative Couple community at large, I am and will always be here to capture and invest in your love.

  • I love saying YES to this question! I have two Associate Videographers that align with my brand and service providing, and every videography package offers a Highlight video, downloadable and shareable too!

  • I sure do - if I am not available for your date, its mostly likely that my Associate Photography will be able to serve you. I also offer a second shooter to accompany me to your big day for that extra set of angles!

  • Genuinely one of my favorite questions, & it's pretty straight forward. Once you have inquired we have made sure your date is available on my (or my Associates’ calendar), we three sign my simple one-page contract and arrange sending your non-refundable date retainer fee, and that's it, love! I’m locked in and on your official Wedding Day Dream Team. If you want to learn even more, you can check out more about the process here.

  • Because I take your day so seriously and am always on my game, I only book one wedding per day, for myself or my associates, so that my couples can be confident that we are 100% all in for their big day!

Photographing weddings is my favorite thing, so I (solo) book anywhere from 20 to 30 per calendar year.

  • Excellent question, and the answer varies. The elements of a wedding day that dictate how many images you get in your final gallery are the length of time I am hired for, your wedding party and family count, how simple or complex your decor is, and how many events you have throughout your day.

For example: A 5 hour wedding, 4 wedding party members, 11 people in your family for formal photos, a medium flower and decor budget, and a reception that has the cake cutting and first dance only, may get you anywhere from 150 to 300 images.

In comparison, a 9 hour wedding, with 12 in the wedding party, 18 in the family, an extensive flower haul, along with a reception that has guest interaction, parent dances, an MC DJ, first dance, toasts and cake cutting may yield anywhere from 350 images or more.

What I always do is deliver every image that meets my brand standard - (if I would put it in my portfolio you’re going to get it), along with any images that meet sentimental standards (even if they’re not technically perfect)!

So while I can’t give you an exact image count, you can rest assured your getting every last good image I create on your day.

  • I guarantee 4 weeks from the day after your event for all Wedding & Elopement photography galleries! This allows me to give each special day I capture the same amount of time, love & care in finalizing each gallery. I spend a ton of time, and have a very specific process I complete with every wedding and have found that it is perfect for meeting my best standards every time. Of course you will be getting sneak previews along the way, too!

All Elopement & Wedding videos will be delivered in 6 weeks from your event date.

  • Unlimited printing and sharing rights are included with every Wedding, Elopement & Portrait I offer. All galleries are hosted virtually and offer full resolution downloads for your convenience. Including sharing and printing rights at no extra cost sets me apart from several other professional photographers. This means that you can print your images at third party providers such as local print shops, and share your favorites via email & social media! My contracts stipulate this on your behalf, and also allow me to use the images for marketing etc. unless you expressly request I don’t post them.

  • Oh photoshop, the love hate relationship photographers will never walk away from. I will use photoshop to get rid of any severe distractions - such as the officiant peeking out behind your first kiss, or branches doing weird things in the background of a group photo. I will also use it to take away any blemishes, as requested on the day of your wedding (coz we know that these things are stressful and rashes, bruises and breakouts totally occur!).

What I gently discourage is my couples asking for any type of ‘Body-shopping’. In all reality, you will never look the same kind of gorgeous as you will on your wedding day: your face will be beaming with love, and your eyes will be shining with tears of joy yet to be shed. One of the most important callings I have, is to help my couples see themselves the way their loved ones do. Which is stunning just as you are, right now, today.

  • I dont deliver RAW files to my customers, even though the request is 1 in a 100. There are several reasons for this.

To begin, oftentimes I have found that most non-photographers understand ‘RAW’ to simply mean ‘not edited’. This is not at all the case - a RAW file often requires specialized and costly software just to view the image, making it quite inaccessible and almost useless for clients.

The second reason is that those RAW images are equivalent to a painter's initial sketch - you are hiring a pro for the reason that you are drawn to the final product that you see in their portfolio. The RAW file is just the starting point, and I have toiled to bring out the best of it and present you with what you hired me for: a polished and connective gallery.

A third and possibly the most valuable reason is that the digital age has afforded us the chance to capture multiple frames of what amounts to the same thing - I will have gone through and selected the very best of the sequence, helping you to not be inundated with what seems to be several of the same dang photo!

In essence, asking for the raw files risks making your photographer wonder if or why you are unsatisfied with their work. They may also wonder what they did to put you in a place where you didn't trust them to do their best for you.
